A moodboard works best when every image earns its place. The goal is not to show everything you like, but to build a selection that feels coherent, intentional and easy to understand.

Curate, don’t overcrowd

Try to keep only the references that add something distinct.

Ask yourself:

• Does this image bring something new?
• Is it repeating something I already have?
• Does it support the overall feeling?
• Would the moodboard still work without it?
• Is this here because I truly need it, or just because I like it?

If two references say the same thing, keep the stronger one.

Your final selection

Use this space to build a tighter edit of your references.

You can aim for:

• 1–2 hero references
• 2–4 supporting references
• a few detail references for color, material, texture or typography
